QSL Hints & Procedure
(Critical to successful QSL'ing):
The following are a few elements that will help you with obtaining a confirmation card from a DX station you have made contact with:
1)Include with your QSL request:
-If sending overseas, a self addressed envelope of sufficient size to
hold a standard size card and for return postage to you (generally
1 IRC or $1.00 US to $2.00 US)
-If sending to a US address, a self addressed and stamped envelope
(SASE) of sufficient size to hold a standard size card
Note-1: In some countries such as India, where foreign money is
prohibited, use IRC's (ask around if needed)
Note-2: Not all DX stations belong to the QSL Bureau-Check
before sending via the Bureau
Note-3: Not all Managers belong to the QSL Bureau-Check before
sending via the Bureau
Note-4: Do Not send requests to any USA Bureau for any USA QSL
Manager. Send via regular mail to the Manager's address

2)Hide any money or IRC's inside your folded return envelope
3)Your card with ALL the correct data for the contact (ie. GMT, date,
the DX's call, signal report given to the DX station, frequency,
etc.)
4)Confirm the DX stations address or QSL manager from at least two
sources

Example: VP6DI, TX0DX or PW0T
5)DO NOT place your call sign on the outside of the outgoing envelope (helps to make sure your card gets to the DX)
6)Place stamps sufficient to mail overseas on the outgoing "secure" envelope (currently $.95 US)
